Vehicle provenance archive · 2013–2022

The history Carfax can't see.

14.2 million dated vehicle listings from public marketplaces, collected over nine years. 955,903 documented sales with prices, mileage and titles — including 431,589 pre-1981 classics that no 17-digit database can touch.

Pre-1981 serials aren't unique — factories reused them. We match serial + make + year, and we say so on the report. Most services won't tell you that.

Why classics

Built for the cars everyone else gave up on.

The 17-digit VIN was standardized in 1981. Everything before it — Healeys, Panheads, tri-five Chevys, Mopars — is invisible to mainstream history services. Our archive holds 431,589 of these vehicles, 72,116 of them with a multi-episode market trajectory.

Documentation is money in this market: well-papered cars consistently outperform. A dated price, a mileage reading and a title snapshot from 2015 is exactly the paper trail a 2026 buyer pays a premium for.

Honest limits

What we will always tell you.

Short serials collide. When a serial isn't unique, the report says which make + year window it was matched against — never pretends certainty.

The archive is a window, 2013–2022. A quiet decade doesn't mean a quiet car. We show what's documented, dated to the day.

One anomaly isn't a verdict. Odometer flags mark suspicious drops with dates on both sides, so you can ask the seller the right question.
